Ad Challenge: Mark This!

Hi everyone! It’s Amy (Amy L) bringing you the Ad Challenge for January. This month we’re working with geomarkers and here’s the inspiration image:
You can brainstorm several ways with this: the geomarker makes a great frame, and if you want to extract your image, it will look great peeking out from it. The great architectural elements could be a jumping off point for a photo. The background has a map feel which could work for a travel page. The cute little swirling heart may make you want to highlight someone or something you love.
Now, if you need even more inspiration, the Creative Team has come up with some really sensational pages for this challenge! I was blown away by their creations, and I know you will love them too.
First up is Erin, who has made the most beautiful page featuring her precious little one. The photo is stunning in black and white, and the teal color scheme makes for a wonderful winter look. I really love how Erin used the geomarker frame to focus on that sweet face.
Supplies Erin used: GeoMarker Frame Layers 01, Snowy Photo Masks 02 Brushes and Stamps, Textured Whites Paper Pack 01, Twisted Dots 01, Worth Repeating 38, Studio KPD Readymade Layers: Winter Clusters 04.
Next is Shannon, who made good use of the architectural influence of the image with her photos of Bellingham, Washington. The page is so beautiful that I had to Google this place to learn more. I love the pretty color palette and the strong vintage elements to balance the memorable photos.
Supplies Shannon used: Twisted Stitches 02, GeoMarker Frame Layers 01, Lightly Mapped Paper Pack 01, Ancestry Blendable Layers, Ancestry Defined Stamp Pack 01, Ancestry Element Pack, Ancestry Chipboard.
Next up is a gorgeous page by Stacia. I’m a big fan of Stacia’s beach photos. Beaches look so different across the world, all beautiful to me. Stacia’s beaches are so unique and different from what I’m used to, and I’m so glad she kept the photo large on this page! The cut out portion of the geomarker frame is very cool as a home for the title, it points down to the sweet heart elements, and the birds reflect the inspiration image perfectly.
Supplies Stacia used: GeoMarker Frame Layers 01, Heart Pebbles 05, Vintage Seas 12×12 Blendable Layers 01, Looping Hearts Stamp Pack 01.
Next up is Lori Ann with this cool page about an iconic NYC landmark, the Statue of Liberty. Doesn’t she look great coming out of the frame with the cool background of tickets! The title work is also wonderful, and I love how Lori Ann included the teal corner at the bottom.
Supplies Lori Ann used: Anchors Away Solids Paper Pack, Bird Song Solids Paper Pack, Cloudscape Brushes and Stamps 02, Curved Page Masks 02, GeoMarker Frame Layers 01, Layer Works 2215, Twisted Stitches 02, Traveler Blendable Layers 05.
Finally, I applied the architectural theme with a photo of our home in the snow. It was fun using the geomarker frame this way.
Supplies I used: ARToptions Mini Mix 12, Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit 19, Curated Team Favorites Sparkle Scrapbooking Kit, Engraved Paint Cluster Layers 06, Frosted Winter Paint, Frosted Winter Solids Paper Pack, GeoMarker Frame Layers 01, Thin Classic Frames 02, Twisted Stitches 02, Plainly Woven Paper Pack 02, Vintage Lines Mini Mix: Winter.
