Saturday Scraplift: Put It on a Panel

Hi, it’s Linda here with some Saturday Scraplift inspiration for you. Sometimes you just need a home on your scrapbook page, and that’s exactly what Julie (MaggieMae) created on this wonderful, summery page. I was drawn to the central panel that provides a focal point for her stunning photo, some brush work, and supporting elements. Monica, Lori Ann, and Karen joined me in lifting Julie’s design. Here’s where it took us.

Julie’s page

I love how Monica (mosbaskets) adapted Julie’s page to accommodate her large landscape-oriented photo and additional photos to document her trip to the Upper Peninsula (on my bucket list!). She managed to include four photos, brush work, a title, and journaling, all on a well-ordered and eye-pleasing page. Katie’s new Vintage Seas kit was the perfect choice.

Lori Ann (lmaggs) made great use of the Vintage Lines Surfside Mini Mix and the White on White Paper Pack to scrap this cute munchkin taking a dip. I really like how those triangular frames add so much energy to Lori Ann’s page and how she balanced her design with the clusters at the top and bottom of her panel. Note to self: play more with geometrics!

Karen’s (grandmak) cute page made it a watery celebration trifecta. I love the whimsical touches, the acrylic bubbles, and the woodgrain paper behind the photo – so beachy! The spill frame was a great choice for the full-length photo that shows off the beach setting.

My page takes us to the Badlands of South Dakota – I’m trying to catch up on those photos I took TWO years ago – lol – not the beach, but amazing, nonetheless. I shifted the panel off center to accommodate a journaling label and chose the background paper because its texture reminded me of those striations in the rock formations.

I think you’ll love scrapping a panel to house your goodies – can’t wait to see what you do with this inspiration. Remember to post your lift in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery as well as in the July Challenge Participation Sign-in thread in the forum. Happy scrapping!
