Brush it Up Challenge: Stay Right Here

Julie here and it’s time for the June Brush it Up Challenge. I selected Stay Right Here Brushes and Stamps, which is an older brush set. But liked the text for prompts to select photos for a page. “Proud moment” could be a school graduation (it’s that time!) and “it’s time to play” could be a sports page, for example. I also like the clean style with the boxes and lines above and below the text. I think using several of them together for a grid style page would look great. But please add your own crafty style. Let’s see some samples from the Creative Team. First up we have Addie who created a wonderfully clean and graphic style page. I love how she added the text blocks between the photos and then made one bigger to use as the title. And what a brilliant idea to add some striped paper to pick up on the pattern of the baby’s dress.

Next we have a page by Valerie. She used the same two blocks as Addie, but they look totally different on her page. Here, Valerie added patterned paper behind the word art with a shadow to make it pop off the page. I like how the unframed photos and blocks stand out and help move your eye through the page!
