Saturday Scraplift: Left, Right and Center

No, this is not a political post – lol! Those terms also apply to design, believe it or not. When I saw Anke’s (anke) great page in the gallery, I fell in love with the off-center placement of that cute photo of her daughter. But Anke didn’t neglect the center and left portions of her page, either. Her circular elements and title are positioned near the page’s center, and her journaling occupies the left edge of her design. Win, win, win! Kathy, my Creative Team compatriot, joined me in lifting Anke’s page. Here’s where the inspiration took us.

Anke’s page:

Kathy (Blackkathy) leaned into the circles present in Anke’s design and placed the bulk of her goodies in the center of her page. The soft-hued florals are the perfect complement to the sweet photo of her granddaughter, and I love how she extended the curved lines for her journaling. Such a pleasing page!

I also scrapped a photo of my granddaughter who competes for Florida State on the equestrian team. I loved Anke’s design so much that I adhered very closely to it, putting Katie’s photo on the right and my journaling on the left. I filled the center with my title, some paper strips, and a cool bunch of black thread.

No matter if you scrap right, left, or center, you’re going to end up with a great page when you lift Anke’s design. Remember to post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery as well as in the October participation thread in the forum. Happy scrapping!
