If you want to change the color of the Rockets Red Glare Fireworks or any other glitter element, follow these steps:
Select the item you want to recolor. Make sure the fireworks layer (or other glitter layer) is highlighted in the layers palette (bottom right corner of the screen.)
CTRL Click (Cmd click on Mac) on THUMBNAIL of that firework element in the layers palette. This should put marching ants around your fireworks.
GO to Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Color.
CLick OK
Choose the color you like and hit ok.
Your entire firework should now look like a solid color. To make it look glittery again, locate the blending modes which are right above the layers in the layers palette. It's a drop-down menu that usually says "Normal" until you click the little arrow.
Change Blend mode on layer to "Color" which is near the bottom of the drop-down menu.
Click OK
Now select the fireworks layer, hold down the CTRL (Mac: Cmd) key while selecting the color fill layer above it. Both layers should now be highlighted (selected.)
Press Ctrl + E (Mac: Cmd E) to merge the two layers. (If this doesn’t work, select both layers then choose Layer > Merge layers.)
