My birthday recently was a big one. The number itself doesn’t bother me but gee, hasn’t 2020 been a right cracker?! I’m ever the glass half full kind of girl but I’m throwing out to the universe that I’m ready for a break. When I asked what’s next last week it gave me a bulging disc and a house full of gastro. Like seriously…. It’s become comical! LOL
Plus, I got my hair done recently and that always requires a selfie or two and an all about me page. Right? ;)

Journaling: Is this what I expected 40 to look like? No bloody way! I don’t even remember what I hoped it to look like. Did I have goals? I’m pretty sure of it. But 40 feels like it is the year of life being on pause. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. The pauses have had good outcomes as well. More family time. More time to rest. More time to work on new projects. More time to assess what really is important. Do I want to stay paused? Not a chance! Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I can look back and question whether my 30 year old self would have handled 2020’s curve balls. Or my 20 year old self? Nope. It would have been messy! So I can say with the struggle has come growth and maturity. But there also comes a deep seated desire for a break and a change of course. I am ever ready for 40 to turn itself around and show me the good stuff. I can only make so much lemonade.
I know things will get better. I’m just ready now!
