Journaling: You have never been the kind of kid that asks for anything and so that has always made buying you presents extra hard! For your 11th birthday the only things on your wish list were a new bike and Simpsons and Minecraft ‘stuff’. The problem was you didn’t really know what ‘stuff’ was! The bike was your big ticket item, though. You had outgrown your old one and you wanted to be able to go on rides with Dad. You are the biggest Simpsons fan but finding any merch was not easy! We managed to find you some bits and pieces to go along with your bike though and you especially loved the trivia books! The rest of the family hooked you up with Minecraft merch and you were super stoked when you opened up some cards to find cash. Your money went straight into your money bank though. You save every single dollar you get and have done for years! Your most favourite gift though? That was having our extended family come out and join us for your birthday lunch. I didn’t tell you they were coming so you thought it was just going to be us and Nana and Pa. You care so much more about connections than gifts and you thought it was pretty awesome to have everyone there to celebrate with you.
