This is my entry for November's color challenge to scrap a layout using navy blue and maroon. Well, I lucked out on this one, because most of my pics that include our third sailboat, Viva, incorporate navy blue and maroon. Viva's hull was painted navy blue, and her sail covers and other accessories were maroon.
Here you can see my husband, Mike, on deck in Colonial Beach, Virginia.
I recolored some of the supplies I used to fit the challenge theme.

I started by using Layer Works # 1758 by Kayleigh Wiles as my format. I already had this template in my stash, so I opened it and used it as my starting point. However, there isn't that much from the template remaining in my actual finished layout because I replaced many of the original elements with something similar that was better suited to the page I wanted to create. I recolored a couple of the remnants and background papers from the template, and some of the textures and splatters remaining on the page are from the template, and that's about it.
