We’d taken the mini through to Fred last weekend for him to use while his car was in the garage and we stopped off at Gordale on the way home. I picked up a lovely hanging basket for the front balcony and I can’t wait for it to fill out. I don’t normally go for yellow in my baskets but I need a little sunshine in my life and yellow flowers just seem right this year. We fetched the mini this weekend and on the way home I marvelled at the glorious rapeseed fields, so full of colour, so vibrant, reaching up to the skies despite it being overcast. These blooms don’t care... they grow wild, free and tall where they are planted. Nothing dulls their colour or free spirit. Why can’t I be like that? It takes so much of my energy for me to keep myself on an even keel, to be happy with myself, to be content with things that I can’t change. And to just make the most of how things are. Grey skies and all. But I’m thankful that life has gotten a little easier, a little brighter and a lot more hopeful.
