Random childhood memories is a great idea, and this story is an interesting one. We all have those old memories rolling around back there and I imagine they'd be interesting to your family. And us.
Oh this is so fantastic! My dad had something like this, but none of us has room for it so it will have to go, but they are so cool! Great page to document it.
Your family listening to the stereo instead of viewing the TV sounds delightful, Sharon. I watch very little TV these days, but, I remember the day my family rented a TV for a month to try it out to see if we liked it well enough to buy one. (We ended up buying a TV!)
What a fantastic idea to document this - fab extraction on that cool stereo set! We had a tv when I was growing up, but the viewing time was extremely limited - I never knew what anyone in school was talking about!
What a great idea! And a great story (loved your Mum's question)! I'm lifting this for sure! The first thing I bought when I started work as a 15 year-old was a stereogram (had to save up for months)! Followed closely by some Beatles records! We played that thing every waking minute, I think....like you, from pop to classics and movie soundtracks!
