This is my entry for the "Let's Blend" challenge. Thanks for the challenge, Joanne!
I am surprised at how much I love this considering it is not at all what I was trying to do.
I started with 2 random papers and the partial page mask from the freebie bundle. (Thanks, Katie!) I blended and came up with a composite paper that I LOVED. Should have saved it right then and there.
Tried to open a layered template in Gimp. I know better than that -- not sure what, exactly, I was thinking. Gimp crashed.
Lost the composite paper, *poof, gone*. ARGH!
Started over.
Rebuilt a template in Gimp, leaving out some layers and (accidentally) re-arranging other layers.
Accidentally opened a different picture than the one I was trying to use. Hmmmmmmmm. Liked it better than the one I had been attempting to work with, and went with it.
Attempted to re-create the paper I had made earlier. Popped the latest attempt into the template. Had to recolor everything because it was all the wrong colors. It still isn't exactly the colors I was trying for, but okay.
If I print this, and the jury is out on that, I am going to cut / shrink it down to 6"x8". Thinking that over because I already have this pic scrapped in my physical albums, somewhere, and it won't fit in with any of the 6"x8" albums I am trying to make.
But I love it...
...except for some wonky little things that I cannot figure out how to fix because my Gimp skills are still not the greatest.
But they're better than they were before I attempted this challenge, so there's that.
I can see why some of y'all are addicted to blending. This turned out to be more fun than I thought it would be. Thanks again for the challenge!
