Journaling: Easter this year looked a little different. It looked different the whole world over! In late March the social distancing rules got a lot stricter with non-essential venues shut down and only 2 non family members allowed in your house at a time. The kids were on school holidays so we tried to make it as fun as we could within our own little bubble. There were no exciting Easter egg hunts with friends or cousins and no family Easter gatherings. We still had so much fun though! The kids were worried the Easter Bunny might get caught up in the border restrictions so they were super excited to wake up and see he had been to visit! I think the Easter Bunny wanted to make things a little extra special this year because he seemed to give the kids a bit more chocolate than usual! But hey, when you are stuck at home and can’t see family and friends.... Chocolate makes everything so much better! We played all day, ate chocolate all day and had a yummy roast dinner. I even enjoyed a quiet glass of bubbles (or two). We made the most of it and I think we even enjoyed a much slower paced day!
LOVE all those rainbow shades! I admire those like you Trace, who have managed to still make occasions special throughout the pandemic. Not having the kids around, I've found it really hard so pages like yours make me smile!
