OMG! What a fantastic night! I'd been retired for a week and it was a Friday night & Scott & I had plans to meet Theresa & Mike at the Yard House for dinner. As we walked in the restaurant I saw Theresa & Mike but then I saw my friend Laurie. I remember thinking how incredibly weird it was that they were at the same restaurant. Then Lauren walked up to me and I was so confused. I could not figure out how that could be because she was in Ames and I had literally just texted her telling her I’d seen her doppelganger. Nothing was clicking. Ha! Then I heard clapping. I was slow on the uptake but I eventually realized that Scott had planned a surprise retirement party for me. Everyone did an AMAZING job because I had absolutely NO IDEA that this was in the works! I love my family & friends! 5/2022
