I finally got our Christmas card and newsletter created, printed, envelopes addressed, all ready to go, and got most of them in the mail today. It's quite a production, and was complicated by the snow and ice storm that descended this week so I couldn't go out and get holiday paper for my newsletter! I improvised by scrounging together leftover papers from previous years until I had (just barely!) enough to print for this year. It's not the unusual "uniform" look but hey, most people aren't comparing so... :D I'm happy to be sending out greetings. It's a tradition I really treasure. And my motto this year is "It will be what it will be." My second son is stranded on the East coast due to the weather challenges in the Midwest, so he won't be home for Christmas as planned, and I'm battling a cold so I'm not up for much in the way of Christmas festivities anyway. So it'll be a quiet day, and my oldest and his wife may come over for a very simple dinner and short visit, depending on how I feel, and - it will all be good! It's a season, not just one day, and we're all lucky enough to enjoy each other's company regularly, which is an ongoing joy. Wishing everyone the best this holiday season. Cheer to all!
