You Are My Sunshine-Template MashUp Challenge

I love a sunny day! Sunshine can make any day a special day. For this week’s Template MashUp Challenge I chose two sunshiny templates. Our Creative Team used these templates to create some beautiful and special sunshiny pages. Here are the templates that we are using in this challenge. These templates are included in this week’s sale.
Scrap Layers Layered Template 03
Our Creative Team has designed SIX FABULOUS PAGES to inspire you with many ways to combine the elements of these two templates. The challenge is to use mostly elements from the templates and add in a few other elements, if needed, to complete your page.
The first inspiration page was designed by Penny (pennyh). She used the basic design and title from the Layer Works and added the photo frames and many of the elements from the Scrap Layers. Did you notice the way she took some stitching from the border of the Scrap Layers and used it to fill in the space above her title? Genius! She also used Botanical Notebook 01 Scrapbooking Bundle to finish her page.
The next page was designed by Erin (erinR). Erin documented her son singing a sweet song to her! She changed up her title to tell the name of the song. Erin also used the basic L shaped design and photo frame from the Layer Works. To that she added the page border from the Scrap Layers. She also rearranged elements from both templates around her photo. She finished up her sweet page with My Rainbow Brushes and Stamps and Watercolor Sketchbook 01 Solids Paper Pack.
Lori Ann (lmaggs) designed our next inspiration page. I love the way she rearranged the frames to show off her photos-one color and one black and white. So creative! She rearranged additional template elements to put together an eye catching diagonal design. She finished up with a background from Sacked Solids Paper Pack 02.
This page with the eye catching blue background was designed by Valerie (nana_vg). Doesn’t that blue look fabulous with the yellow elements? Valerie also created a diagonal page design but also managed to find a place for lots of wonderful journaling! To finish off her page, Valerie used Cadmium Gardens Scrapbook Kit (background paper) and Dreamy Paper Pack 03.
Jane (jane_bond7) used her page to document a fun day in the sun. To achieve this she included three photos , using photo frames from both templates and lots of great journaling. Those floral elements tucked behind her photos look great! She finished off with Winter Ice Solids, Blue Bird Add On Paper Pack, Spring Stories Transfers and Lifted Wings 4.
The last of our great inspiration pages was designed by Brenda (bbe). Of the six pages, she did the most rearranging to make the elements fit her photo and the story she wanted to tell. The rich blue looks great with her photos and is brightened by the sunny yellow elements. Palette Textures Paper Pack 35 finished off her page perfectly!
We hope you have enjoyed these wonderful inspiration pages and hope they have given you ideas of how to design your own page. Be sure to post your page in the Template Challenge Gallery. If you also post a link to your page in the March Challenges Participation thread, you can earn a valuable coupon to the KPD store. Happy scrapping and happy “mashing”!
