Then and Now: My Hometown

Hi everyone!  Shannon (shannonr) here to host this month’s Then and Now Challenge.  This month we will be focusing on hometowns.  You can take this challenge any which way you choose.  You can pick your childhood hometown what it was like when you were growing up and what it is like now, or your current hometown and what it was like when you moved there and how it has changed (or stayed the same).  Or you can compare your childhood hometown to your current one.  Katie has generously offered this freebie for you to use if you wish in your layouts.

We have layouts from a couple of Creative Team members to help you get started with inspiration.

First off–we have Linda (earlofoxford).  She grew up and has spent most of her life living in Orlando, Florida.  I knew she would have a story to tell about what Orlando was like before Disney World and the other theme parks took over the landscape there and she definitely came through in describing that in her journaling.  I love her design with the split page using the torn edges.

One of our Guest Creative Team Members, Renee (5grand), tells us of her hometown of St. Albert and its transition from a village to a city.  Using the new True Crimes template worked perfectly for her to showcase her hometown.

I decided to do a little compare and contrast between my childhood hometown and my current one.  I definitely could have done more than one page on that topic.  I have a lot to say about my hometowns.
