The ABCs of Me, You, and Us

This month, the ABCs of Me, You, and Us are featuring the letters E and F. The monthly letters are a starting point to tell a story about Me (yourself), You (your spouse, partner, specific family member, or a special friend) or Us (you and your spouse/partner, you and a family member(s), or you and a special friend(s). You can use any word that starts with the specific letter to determine what story you want to tell. For example, a city, state, country, continent or area you’ve visited or lived that starts with the letter; a relative whose name begins with the letter; an activity or adventure that begins with the letter, or an adjective that describers the person(s) you’re writing about. You choose whether you want to make a page for just one letter from the month or both of them. Use your imagination to choose your subject, and begin a new journey of scrapbooking this year.  You can find this month’s freebie here.

Here are some suggested words for each letter to help you choose what you want to make your layout(s) about.

E: Eager, eagle, earrings, Easter, e-books, eclipse, ecology, education Egypt, England, English, elephant, embarrassing, engineer, entertainment, excited/excitement, experience, expectation, explore

F: Fish/fishing, friend, fairy, faith, fable, fabulous, face, fad, Fall, family, famous, fantasy, farm, fashion, father, favorite, fearless fearful, festival, flag, Florida, flower, fire/firefighter, firefly, fiction, flying/flight, France, Fiji, Fairbanks, freedom

Our Creative Team and Guest Creative Team members have made some amazing layouts, and they’re all very different.

First up is Creative Team Member, Carol (carollee), who tells a story about her parents when they were dating. It’s a fun read.

Carol used Walden Add-On Paper Pack, Walden Element Pack, Palette Textures Paper Pack 12, Attic Treasures Add-On Paper Pack, Torn Templates 02, Vintage Artistry Wedgewood Ephemera, Vintage Artistry Everywhere Transfers 05, Flair Minis 02, and December Stories Roughed Up Pocket Cards.

Next up is Creative Member Shannon (shannonr) with her amazing page focusing on the flag.

Shannon used Monthly Memories 07 Painted Layers, Vintage Mini Mix 16, Readymade Layers: Envelope Clusters 19, Americana Spiral Pages 01, Game Cards: Americana, Starry Skies Paper Pack 01, Hand Drawn Americana Lines 01, Vintage Blendable Palettes 03, and the script letter F from the challenge freebie.

One of this month’s Guest Creative Members, Penny (pennyh) created this fabulous layout using both letters on the same page. She used some amazing photos, and her title is perfect. Penny also modified a template for her layout, and that’s a great way to make your pages.

Penny used Layer Works 2469 and Vintage Mini Mix 14.

Creative Team Member, Merrilee (digigrandma), made pages for both letters. You’ll be able to see her E page in the ABCS of Me, You, and Us Challenge Gallery. Her page for the letter F features three things her family enjoys.

Merrilee used Frame and Blend Story Vol. 05 Layered Template 03, Readymade Layers Fall Clusters 22, William Solids Paper Pack, and the Challenge Freebie (script letter f and the family wordart.)

Finally, I made layouts for each letter, and I’m sharing my page for the letter E. It’s all about engineering, and it tells the story of how a little bit of advice to my high school senior so many years ago, resulted in a choice I was surprised by, but it was perfect for her.

I, Valerie (nana_vg) used frames from Layer Works 2040, DocuStack Layers 02, Palette Textures Paper Pack 07, and Lightly Linens Paper Pack.

Now, it’s your turn to dive into this month’s challenge. You may decide to make random layouts for your albums, or as some of us are doing, make an entire ABC album that you can put in an album or print as a photo book. So, look through your photos, check out examples of words you can use to get your creative juices flowing, download the Freebie, and post your finished layout(s) in the ABCs of You, Me, and Us Challenge Gallery as well as in the March 2026 Challenge Participation Thread. I’m excited to see what you create.
