Template Mashup: Sunshine
Hello! There’s nothing quite like sunshine to lift our spirits. I hope June brings many days of sunny skies to your world. This is Merrilee (aka digigrandma) here with the first of two Mashup Challenges this month. Our Mashup Templates are:
For this challenge, you are invited to create an original design using parts of both of these templates. You can add extra product to complete your design as needed. Creative Team members, Kathy, Valerie and Mel helped me out with inspiration pages.
First up, is Kathy’s (aka BlackKathy) example. It’s evident her granddaughters are enjoying time in the sunshine. I love Kathy’s many layers under the happy photo and the combination of yellow and green colors that dominate the page. Her background paper is from the versatile Lightly Letter Box Paper Pack 03.
The next example is by Mel (aka Britgirl). More expert layering is evident in her example, too. Mel’s page highlights more of the green colors from the templates which looks terrific with the purple tint of the photo. A paper from the lovely textured Lost Lace Paper Pack 01 completes her page.
Valerie’s (aka nana_vg) page showcases an adorable photo of three young siblings sitting outside in the sunshine on a big log. Valerie made use of the lovely title word art from one of the templates. Additional designs Valerie used are from ARToptions MiniMix 27, ARToptions Minimix 24 and Cabana Whites Paper Pack.
And, here’s my page. I also liked using the title art that Valerie used on her page. My grandsons had just come out of the water from swimming in the lake at our cabin when I snapped this photo of them. You can tell it was a sunshiny day! I used Krafty Garden Solids Paper Pack for my background paper. This paper pack has quickly become a favorite of mine for background papers with a lovely bit of texture.
