Template Mashup: Summer Vibes

Hello, everyone! This is Merr here! So, is June the beginning of summer for you or are you approaching the winter months where you live? Whichever it is, the templates I chose for our June Mashup have summer vibes. If it’s winter for you, I hope you enjoy looking back at your summer photos while you scrap them. If you’re just heading into summer, it is time to either play catch up by scrapping older summer photos or to scrap the newest summer photos you are taking this month. Whichever it is for you, the templates for this Mashup will help you design a page quickly.
The rules for the Template Mashup Challenge are simple. Make sure to include parts of both of the featured templates in designing a new page. It is OK to add any additional designs from Katie Pertiet Designs that you need to complete your page. Then, post your page in the Template Mashup Gallery and also in the June Challenge Participation Thread in our forum to make sure it gets counted towards a reward coupon to use in our store. The templates for the Mashup are always included in the Thrifty Thursday sale making it a perfect time to grab them now!

First, let’s get started by looking at some examples of Mashing the two templates.
Chrissy (kikimama) went back in time to scrap photos of her daughter and a friend outside blowing bubbles when they were little. All the parts of her compact design fit together so attractively. I love the addition of each of the girls’ initials from Jelly Serif Alpha 02 to the page. Chrissy also used Worth Repeating Brushes and Stamps 27.

Amy (Amy L) has a beautiful hydrangea plant called Endless Summer! She chose to feature three photos of the lovely blue blooms. I would love to have this plant growing in my yard. Amy used ARToptions Spice Paper Pack 02 for the background.

I love how Valerie (nana_vg) split her page design by adding a little cluster up in the corner. The placement of the journal text also contributes to the well balanced look of her overall design. Two different papers were combined for the background: Dreamy Paper Pack 04 and Water Works Textures Paper Pack 01.

Jen, our Guest CT, (jdipzinski) and her husband have the right idea for staying cool in the summer! They like to float around while reading their books. It looks idyllic, doesn’t it? The background paper is from Curated Team Favorite Travel.

Oh, the wonderful memories I have of our grandsons spending summer time at the lake! I chose several photos to convey the good times of endless summer. I combined papers from Anchors Away Solids Paper Pack and Water Works Textures Paper Pack 2 for my background.

Thank you, Chrissy, Amy, Valerie and Jen. Your examples are awesome!
Happy Scrapping, everyone! I hope templates for the Mashup inspire you to scrap with them!
