Template Mashup: Livin’ it Up
Hi there! It’s Cori (@CoriK) here with our 2nd Template Mashup of June! I was drawn to these two gorgeous Layer Works Templates for our mashup. When I looked a little closer at the elements, I noticed they both had the “Livin’ It Up” sentiment – hence, the title of this Mashup!
Here are the two templates for our challenge:
Several Team Members were inspired to play along with this challenge. Let’s take a look!
First up, is this super cool travel page by Stacia (@Stacia). I love how well her background paper and chosen elements work with her amazing photos. In addition to the templates, Stacia also included: Spectrum | Sherbet Strawberry Lemonade Ephemera Plus Pack, Vintage Artistry Essentials Ephemera, Patterning Palettes 03 Element Pack, Vintage Artistry Everyday Solids Paper Pack, and Palette Textures Paper Pack 10.
Next up, is this beautiful page by Renee (@5grand). Renee added paper from the new Vintage Makers Paper Pack 01. I just love how gorgeous it looks as the backdrop of her page while still showcasing that adorable photo. Fabulous mashup!
Our next page was designed by Merrilee (@digigrandma). I love how Merr added a second square frame for her page with the journaling tags. In addition to the templates, Merr also used Christmas Lodge Solids and Kitlet Solids Paper Pack 01. The pop of blue and pink really make this mashup stand out!
Next, is this precious page by Valerie (@nana_vg). Val also used two frames but offset them creating a completely different look. I love how she recolored the bow to add a pop of blue like her photo and the soft background paper is the perfect touch. Val included paper from Dreamy Paper Pack 04 (clipped to the masks) and Dreamy Paper Pack 08 for her background.
And finally, we have this amazing page by Monica (@mosbaskets). I absolutely love how she used the elements to create the perfect journaling spot for her page. The layering and use of white space is also great – fabulous mashup! Monica included paper from the Color Swatch Toast Papers to her page.
I’m always amazed at the lovely pages from these challenges. It’s fun to see how different they all look using the same templates! I hope you’re feeling inspired to play along. If this is your first time joining us, the rules are pretty simple – take parts from each of the templates and rearrange them on a new page of your own design. Post your completed page in the Template Mashup Gallery and also in the June Participation Thread in the forum for points towards a store discount for completing challenges.
