Template Mashup: Happy Days
Hi, this is Merrilee (aka digigrandma) here to introduce the first Template Mashup for July. It’s a fun challenge and I think you’ll love your results if you choose to play. For the Challenge, use parts from each of two featured templates to create your scrapbook page. If you add any elements or papers to your design please use designs from Katie Pertiet Designs to count towards earning a reward coupon at the end of the month.
I chose two templates with matching shades of blue making it easy to mix and match the different elements. There are plenty of elements and photo frames to layer in making your own page!

The Creative Team jumped in to make examples to show you. I’ll start with Mel’s wonderful page. Wow, eight garden photos taken at her son’s home are artfully displayed! She really made use of the many different photo frames available in the two templates. Mel also used Lightly Linens No 15, Spectrum Gardenia Botanical Ephemera and Field Notes Ephemera Plus.

Valerie’s (aka Nana_vg) page reminds me of how much I love being at the lake in the summer. She features two fun photos framed with the cool red and white striped frames. A great title, the big bow and the red, white and blue colors add up to a great looking mashup. Her additions to the templates are from Lakeside Sentiment Stamps 01 and Dreamy Paper Pack 04.

Red Blooms by Stacia
For her Mashup, Stacia, liked the notebook and the red and white striped frames. She photographed the vivid red blooms while on a walk. Her red, white and blue color scheme is perfect for July! Stacia’s background paper is from Textured Whites paper Pack 01 and the flairs are from Vintage Seas Flairs 01.pack/
For my page, I started with the template that includes the notebook. I deleted the torn frame on the notebook and dressed it up a bit with elements from the other template. It was quick and easy. My background paper is from Waterworks Textures Paper Pack 02.

Templates make scrapping memories so easy. Mashing two templates gives you the chance to mix things up for endless different design possibilities. Look for the templates to be included in the Thrifty Thursday Sale this week.
