Template Mashup: Beach Vibes
Here we are beginning the second half of the year already! This is Merr introducing the first Template Mashup for July. I hope you find that the parts of the templates for this Mashup come in handy for scrapping your photos.
I’m calling this Challenge, Beach Vibes, but, of course, the templates can work for a variety of different themes depending on what parts you choose to use. I love that the templates include red, white and blue colors, plus some greenery.
The challenge is to create your own original design using parts from both templates. If you’ve done this challenge before, you know it is easy and fun. If you haven’t ever mashed, I invite you to try it. I think you’ll get hooked on this challenge.
Remember, you can earn a discount to use in our store based on the number of challenges you complete this month. Details are explained in the July Participation Thread. When done designing your page, please post it in our Template Mashup Gallery and also post in the July Participation Thread in the Forum so that it counts towards your reward points. As an extra special bonus, the templates will be included in the Thrifty Thursday sale.

Next, I will show you how the Creative Team and Guest CT’s mashed the templates. I love how they all mashed!
Guest CT member, Jen, (aka jdipzinski) took her beach photos in Punta Cana. What a great choice of background paper from the Tidewater Solids Paper Pack. Her next layer is from Vintage Artistry Wherever Solid Remnants and on top of those layers, her design using parts of the template is so wonderful!
Guest CT member, Karen, (aka kaclink) scrapped beach photos taken on the Oregon coast to create her beautiful page. What a great experience it must be to vacation there! Her background paper from ARToptions Blues Paper Pack 02 is another perfect choice for a beachy theme.
Here is another fantastic looking page with beach vibes created by Creative Team member, Stacia. I’m noticing all the fine brush work details she added in the background. The background paper is from October Essentials Paper Pack 01.
Creative Team member, Valerie (aka nana_vg) created a lovely page celebrating the friendship of four high school seniors ready to start the next chapter of their lives. A paper from Classic Scrap Mini 01 Cardstocks Paper Pack completes her page.
Here is how I mashed the templates. My photo was taken on a beach in Florida. I found everything I needed in the templates, only adding a background paper from Dreamy Paper Pack 03
