Template Mashup: All The Colors

Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by the Blog today. This is Merr (digigrandma) here announcing the templates for the first Template Mashup Challenge in the month of October. I think for many of us, myself included, October is a favorite month. Where I live in Minnesota the skies are blue, the fall colors lovely and we still enjoy warmer temperatures.

Between the two templates I chose for this Mashup, almost all the colors imaginable are included! The first template definitely has a fall color scheme, but, the second template has so many fun colors that you could really pick any one of the colors and go with that for your theme. The only rule for the Challenge is to make sure you use parts of both templates when you create your design.

It’s not a requirement, however, to only use the chosen templates. If you want to grab an extra element or two from your digital stash, go right ahead! Just have fun designing.

Guest Creative Team member, Jheri, and Creative Team members, Amy, Cori and Valerie wowed me with their creative approaches to mashing these templates. I’m excited to show you what they created with the two templates!

First up is Amy’s page. She chose to use soft, fall colors to match the series of photos of her little grandson navigating a row of steps with careful determination. Precious! The background Paper is Arctic Whites 04 Pack Pack.

Next, Valerie created a bold color scheme to match the outfits in school colors her granddaughter and her friends are wearing at a recent football game. So fun! The coordinating papers are from Palette Textures Paper Pack 10 and Palette Textures Paper Pack 30.

On Cori’s delightful page we get to see beautiful closeup photographs of individual fall leaves, plus her cute dogs out for a fall walk. I love the bow tucked in with the photo cluster. A paper from Anzio Solids Pack completes her Mashup.

I just love that Jheri chose to take advantage of the variety of fun colors available in the templates. She brilliantly placed a variety of colorful elements across the center of her page. And, what a great photo capture! I can’t help but smile looking at it. Her background paper is from Kitlet Solids Paper Pack 04.

Thank you for taking a look at our inspiration using the templates. What do you think? How will you mash? I can’t wait to see your responses. I hope the Gallery gets filled with wonderful Mashings.

Please post your layouts using these templates in our Template Mashup Gallery. Also, for reward points towards earning a discount in our store, post in the October Participation Thread, too.

Also, please note that the templates are included in the Thrifty Thursday Sale.

Happy Mashing!
