Story Scrapbook Challenge : What you love about yourself

I think after everything we have gone through over the past 12+ months, and still going through, it’s time for a bit of self-love, am I right?  So whilst this may come hard for some people, yes I know story telling isn’t for everyone, but I want you to do a page about what you love about yourself.

We don’t put ourselves into our family stories enough, we are the memory keepers, and whilst we are keeping everyone else’s memories we need to ensure we are in there too.  So please do this, please reflect on things you love about yourself.  It’s not vain, it’s not self-serving, it is most definitely needed.

So it might be a role you play that you love about yourself –  that you’re a good listener, you’re a problem solver, you can bake a great cake, you are the organiser amongst friends, you excel at keeping a shopping budget, you’re magnificent at wrapping gifts.

It may be physical – you love your hair, you love the confidence you feel when you wear red, you love that you can rock a high heel, you love to wear makeup, you love that you and only you can hug your child and fix their boo boos.

It may be an activity or a feeling you get – you love that you can run with the grandkids, you love that you built a home, you love your creativity, you love how you feel when driving a car with the window down and singing at the top of your voice.

So I want to hear all about what you love about yourself.

The creative team have jumped on board with some terrific example pages:

I adore Stacia’s page where she documents that she loves her curiosity, which leads to discoveries.  What  a cute as a button photograph she has chosen too.

Wow, just wow, Liz’s page is stunningly gorgeous.  From the soft colours, that fab photograph, and the documentation of how she loves that she is like her mother.  What a wonderful trait for her to recognise and I’m so glad she has documented it.

And for my page, I love that I have my dad’s lovely pale eyes, though his is more blue and mine green, which in the story took me down a path of some of our similarities.
