Something Old, Something New

Hi Friends! It’s Trace (tracermajig) back with you for the last Something Old, Something New challenge of the year! What a wonderful year of challenges it has been. I hope you have found some great inspiration along the way!

This month I have chosen some Christmas products to play with. Like always, the aim of the challenge is to use an old and new product on a page. If you have these element packs in your stash, feel free to use anything from them. Otherwise, Katie has provided a freebie to get you started.

I have said it before, one of my favourite parts of this challenge is seeing the many different pages that come from the very same products. Let’s see where the inspiration took the team!

I love how Addie (AddieG) combined the old and new products to create her title. The scripty chipboard works so well with the knitted word! What a beatuful page to showcase that adorable photo!

How cute is Cori’s (CoriK) photo?! Those sweet pups definitely have to be on Santa’s nice list! I love the cluster Cori created using the botanical transfers, chipboard and post mark. It anchors her frame beautifully! And the little knitted tree in the bottom corner is the perfect touch!

I (tracermajig) wanted to create a colourful Christmas layout. I thought the knitted tree would be a good place to start as I could make each row a different colour. Things evolved from there and this is where I ended up!
