Sketch Challenge: October

Good morning, good morning! Sharon here with a new Sketch Challenge!

This month, we’d like you to make a page based on this sketch:

As you can see, this design is a “flipped” L shape and is a good one if you need a left facing page! Of course, you only have to flip the design to have a right facing page if you’d rather. There are three photo spots and plenty of space for some layering or masking. Obviously you can also leave all that white space as – well – white space!

Guest CT member Julie (Julie DeGuia) has once again created a stunning layout based on the sketch. She has stuck very closely to the sketch to scrap these gorgeous photos which really pop off that dark background paper!

CT member Carol has scrapped a recent hike she took with Hubby Mike. Another gorgeous dark background – but I love the way she’s balanced out the design with an extra couple of photos in the bottom corner.

CT member Rachael (myssp) has brought her usual layering genius to the design with this gorgeous page. Aren’t those pops of pink so clever? And I love how she’s clipped patterned paper to the coin holder frame!

Our last sample page is from Valerie (nana_vg). She has made the photos a bit bigger (and why wouldn’t you? SOO cute!), and added borders to her design. I think my favourite touches are the flair and the bookplate overlapping the photos/frames.

Katie has put together a freebie for us that includes the Notebook photo frame and the Ripped frames.

I hope we’ve inspired you to scrap a page based on our October design. Our CT members will post their pages with complete credit lists in theĀ Sketch Challenge Gallery very shortly. We hope to see your layout there too!

Don’t forget that if you post your 100% KPD product page in theĀ October Challenge Participation Thread you can earn store discounts!!

Happy scrapping!
