Sketch Challenge: January

Good morning everyone,

Sharon (Shannamay) here with this month’s sketch challenge. This sketch has room for one long, narrow photo which sits on top of an arrangement of tags, banners and paper pieces. You could easily replace that photo with two or three photos in a row. The circular label/tag or paper piece is repeated at the top of the page and provides a place for a date.

And . . . here it is:

Several of our CT and Guest CT members have created layouts based on the sketch.

First up is Shannon’s beautiful layout. She has cleverly moved the photo arrangement towards the bottom of the page to allow for a feature photo and elements that help to tell her story.

Next we have this heartwarming layout from Jan. She has added a title to the design, and I love the way she has repeated that washi style strip top, bottom and centre of her page.

Trish has created this fun layout about the kids in the farm ute (truck). I love how the blue ute pops off all those lovely earthy colours!

Lori Ann’s festive layout is so eye catching. I really like the way she has changed the orientation of the tag to better suit the square photo. Gotta love a perfectly placed twist too!

Linda stuck very close to the original sketch with her gorgeous and glamorous New Year’s Eve page. Those clock pieces at the top are just the best! Love it!

Last of all, I’ll sneak in a page of my own. One I made to document my latest moving day. I turned the sketch on its side and added a title at the bottom.

I hope we’ve all inspired you to have a go at creating a page based on January’s sketch. Katie has put together a freebie which you can download HERE if you choose. All the above layouts with complete product lists will be added to the Sketch Challenge Gallery and we hope to see your layout there soon too! Don’t forget to add your 100% KPD product page to the January Challenges Participation Sign-in Thread to earn store rewards.

Happy scrapping everyone!
