Sketch Challenge: April

Good morning everyone!

Sharon here with this month’s sketch challenge for you.

This month we have space for two photos – although of course you could include more or less as suits. Our lovely freebie from Katie includes the gorgeous Wooden Connected Words and the beautiful ribbon and bow combination from the Catana Kit. You may use the FREEBIE or not – again – just as you choose.

I have sample pages from five CT members to show you today and I am, as usual, amazed at the variety of layouts all inspired by one simple sketch.

First up is Valerie, who has rearranged the photo spots and swapped out a paper filled chevron frame for the paper banner. She’s created a very ‘manly’ page for a favourite 18 year old!

Next, we have Erin – who had the perfect subject matter for the title included in the freebie. So Sweet!

Amy created a page brimming with fun for her gorgeous grandies. I love how she worked the design to include three favourite photos!

I love how Linda has swapped out the banner for a tag, and her use of that brilliant kermit green! What a vibrant page for these young people!

My layout is a rather more subdued one. I wanted to feature this shot I took of one of our laughing kookaburras while on my walk the other day. I stuck very close to the sketch, just swapping out the ribbon and bow for one I thought better suited my photo (can you see the bronze colour at the end of his tail feathers?

I also thought it interesting that while the sketch doesn’t have one, 4 of the five of us added a paper border to the outside edge of our pages!

I do hope you can find a couple of pics this month that would work well in this simple little design. We hope that you will join us in the Sketch Challenge Gallery where you will shortly find all our pages with complete credit lists.

Don’t forget that if you add your 100% KPD product page to the April Challenge Participation Sign in Thread you are able to earn shopping rewards for the store!

Happy scrapping everyone!
