September Ad Challenge

A big hello to everyone.  Brenda here, welcoming you to our newest Ad Challenge.  As I was online browsing for inspiration, I came across this interesting image.  It’s a fun collage of photos, and somewhere in the middle, a post-it type note.  I like that there is enough room for an extra bit of journaling if needed.  I can imagine this going a zillion different ways.  How about an inspiration board with a personal note?   A favorite quote, with supporting photos?  The following members of our creative team jumped at the chance to “give it a go.”  Katie has generously provided a freebie package to help get us started.  Feel free to use any or all of them, but they’re not required.

First up is a design from Stacia.  She masterfully arranged these photos, giving us insight into “this day.”  I like that she calls this a PHOTO WALK.  She burned all the caleries, and we get to enjoy the sights.  Win-Win.

Supplies used on this project:  Photo Blocks Layered Template Scrap Pack 01Painted Photo Masks 23, Vintage Artistry Countryside Add-On Paper Pack, Clean Stitched Borders: White 01 and Vintage Orchard Page Layers 01 & Vintage Orchard Page Layers 02.  (new templates coming to the store soon, so please check back for links)

Next up is Shannon.  She took this challenge as an opportunity to scrap some miscellaneous photos of a group outing.  It’s always nice to create a page with dual purposes.

These are the products she used for her project:  Vintage Artistry Wherever Scrapbook Bundle, Vintage Artistry Wherever Wishing Bubbles, Vintage Artistry Wherever Transfer Bundle, and  DocuStack Layers 02.

This example was designed by Valerie.  The framed corkboard she used to display her photos is a nice touch.  I’m also admiring her color palette and photo arrangement.  I love the pops of red!

Products used for this page are:  Photo Clusters 38, Vintage Orchard Solids Paper Pack, Away We Go Kit, Brielle Solids Paper Pack, and Christmas Linens Paper Pack 01.

Last up, this page was designed by Julie.  I’m drawn to this color palette as well, and the photos she chose to use for this project tell the story of their family’s fun day, with the help of her journaling.  For me, this is memory-keeping at its finest.

Julie used these products on her project: Weathered Market Solid, Button Rimmed Alpha: Vintage, Chunky White Chipboard Alpha 03, Vintage Frames No.26, Vintage Artistry Sky Stack Layers, and Vintage Artistry Mango Ephemera.  Additionally, these products are coming to the store soon:  Vintage Orchard Solids, Vintage Orchard Wishing Bubbles, Vintage Orchard Chipboard, and  Vintage Orchard Filed Frames.  They are all part of a beautiful autumn collection called Vintage Orchard.  Links will be coming soon.

Did this pique your interest?  I’m curious to see where this challenge takes you.  Please post your pages in the Ad Challenge Gallery as well as the August Challenge Participation thread.  Happy scrapping!
