Saturday Scraplift: Yin and Yang

Shannon (shannonroller) here and welcome to this week’s Saturday Scraplift. Can you believe it is December already and Christmas is right around the corner? This week we are lifting Bob (bluedraft52). I was wowed by his amazing photography from his Boxing Day trip to the beach a few years ago. So amazing to see both the calm and the wild fiery of the ocean in these photos.
The creative team has put together some lifts of this layout for additional inspiration.
One of our newest creative team members, Erin (Ernie88), put together this layout of the crazy weather she had at her house last January. Love how she incorporated the torn strips and the days of the week in her layout. Reading her humor in the journaling is fun too.
Wacky Weather Products used: Torn Templates 02, Pocket Page Titles: Weekdays, Messy Stitched Borders: White 03, Winter Journal Labels 01, and Drop Shadow Styles.
Guest creative team members, Rache (rache77) and Rae (bcgal00), both went with the yin and yang of human emotions for their layouts.
Rache did an amazing job with all the blending in this layout.
Yin and Yang Products used: Artoptions Blendable Layers 03, Artoptions Canvas Paper Pack 02, Maybe Not Element Pack, Naturally Krafty Paper 14, Curated Team Mix 11, Brilliant Life Elements, Torn Templates 02, Twisted Dots 02 and Key Strike Clusters 01.
I like how Rae split the photo with color and black and white in the torn halves of the photo.
Torn in Two Products used: Ripped Vintage Photo Frames 01, Canvas Colors 09, Watery Foliage 33, Birdwatcher Blendables 05, Artsy Blendable Layers Leaves 02, and Golden Glitter Splatters 01.
I am celebrating my anniversary this week and I chose to do more of a then and now layout to lift Bob. A few years ago, my husband and I recreated our first toast as husband and wife on our anniversary.
Anniversary Then and Now Products used: Torn and Framed 08, Nature Study Elements, Looping Hearts 01, Cluster of Love 02, and Typed and Scripted 18.
I hope that you can find some inspiration from Bob’s layout or those of the creative team. Be sure to post your layout in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery and the December Challenges Participation Thread to get credit toward a discount coupon for the KPD store. I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this challenge.
