Saturday Scraplift: Understated Elegance

Hi everyone! It’s Amy L bringing you this week’s Saturday Scraplift. This week we’ll be lifting this beautiful graduation page by Kathy (Blackkathy):

I think this page is perfect inspiration in so many ways! The design is simple yet so creative with the beautiful border at the photo corner! There is a perfect journaling place, and the added elements give the perfect finishing touch.  I think you will love the examples crafted by our Creative Team, and I hope you will be energized to give this one a try.

First up is Linda, who also told a story of a loved one’s graduation. I feel so close to this boy, as I have watched him grow up in Linda’s pages. The photo shows Sam in his graduation robe, holding a photo of himself on the first day of preschool. Could this be any sweeter? Like Kathy, Linda did a masterful job with color on her page. Just beautiful!

Next up is Jen with an amazing photo! I mean how do you even capture something like this?! I like how Jen moved the brushwork to a lower corner to balance the photo. The dark background with the sunset colors is so pretty too!

Next is Wendy who has the sweetest holiday story to tell! Isn’t this photo of Tori adorable? Wendy’s Christmas brushwork is absolutely stunning. I’m in love with this page!

Finally, I scrapped another special day in the life of a grandchild: his birthday! This boy is so loved that he is always deserving to be highlighted on a page. I can get lazy about journaling, but Kathy’s page motivated me to record a special FaceTime conversation that Henry and I had.
