Saturday Scraplift: Scattered

Digital Scrapbooking

Shannon (shannonroller) here with the first scraplift of April.  This week we are lifting Lori Ann (lmaggs).  She always has such cool designs for her pages and this was no exception with all the scattered blocks and elements on the page.  Also fun to have the whimsical dinosaur as part of her design.

The Creative Team has some additional inspiration with their take on lifting Lori Ann.

First up is Kathy (Blackkathy).  She found inspiration in the scattered blocks, chevron framing, wordart and including the whimsical bears for her design.  Love that she used the Scrabble tiles for some of the blocks in her design as part of her title work.  This layout has so much energy with that photo.

Erin (Ernie88) also followed Lori Ann’s design pretty closely but threw in a twist with using hearts for her scatter instead of blocks.  It is also such a sweet story about her son’s love for his papa and being able to see him always via that photo in his bedroom.

Audrey (adrianita) created this adorable page of her daughter as a mermaid at the beach.  For her scatters, she used circles to simulate bubbles.  She also included the enamel seahorse and the wonderful wave and sun brushes in her background.  Such a fun page.

After all those sweet layouts of cute children, I took my lift in a little more serious direction.  I recently went to a military dinner and they always have the Fallen Warrior Table (formerly the POW/MIA Table) at these events to remember those who are no longer with us.  I mostly took my inspiration from the random placement of the blocks in Lori Ann’s layout.  I also randomly scattered my journaling about the various aspects of the table layout.

I hope you will find some inspiration in Lori Ann’s layout or those of the Creative Team to create your own layout.  As you can tell from our takes, a variety of shapes can be used for the scatter.  As always, please post your layouts in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery and the April Challenge Sign In Thread to get credit toward a discount coupon in the KPD store.  Can’t wait to see where this inspiration will take you!
