Saturday Scraplift: Scattered Circles

Hi. Shannon (shannonroller) here with this weekend’s Saturday Scraplift. This week we are lifting Karen (aka grandmak).
I selected this layout of her sister’s kitten. Loved those sweet photos of such a tiny kitten, the design with the strips behind the photos and the scattered sequins and the circular photos. And that name–love the reference to the Baby Ruth candy bar.
The creative team has chipped in to provide some additional inspiration for you.
First up is Julie (aka MaggieMae). She used a torn edges template to mimic the strips in the background and included photos of her brand new fur baby, Molly. Love the use of the torn edges and the colors she used.
Products used: Torn and Framed Layered Template 10, Spectrum Sherbet Paper Pack, Spectrum Sherbet Tidal Wave Botanicals, Spectrum Sherbet Chipboard Words, Booked Blue Paper, Weathered Garden Paper Pack, and Filmed Slide Frames 04.
One of our guest creative team members, Lori Ann (aka lmaggs), put together this sweet layout. Love the colors, the way she did her strips in the background and the sense of movement with the twisted dots.
Products used: Color Muse: Moore Gray Paper, Monthly Memories Vol. 03 Paper Pack 05, Arctic White Paper 02, From My Bookshelf 02 Cardstock, Stamped Stitches 09, Artsy Charcoal Layers 01, Messy Stitched Circles Black 01, Modern Vintage Simplicity Paper Strips, Photo Cuts Masks 05, Twisted Dots 01, and Flagged Frame Layers 01.
I chose to scrap these photos of Cedar Waxwings. I used a painted window mask for my background but otherwise stayed pretty close to Karen’s design.
Products used: Artoptions Mini Mix 26, Circle Frame Layers 01, Vintage Photo Frames 49, and Painted Window Frame Layers 02.
I hope these layouts inspire you to create your own page. Be sure to post your layouts in both the Saturday Scraplift Gallery and the July Challenge Participation Thread to get credit for a discount coupon to use in the KPD store.
Happy Canada Day weekend for our friends in Canada. For those of you in the United States, I hope you are enjoying your July 4th holiday weekend and that you are either scrapping for enjoyment or creating wonderful memories to scrap later.
Cheers, Shannon
