Saturday Scraplift: Puzzle Me This, Puzzle Me That

Happy New Year!  Shannon (shannonr) here with the first Saturday Scraplift of the year.  This week, we are lifting Lori Ann (lmaggs).  She recently posted this layout featuring her granddaughter.  I was enchanted with the design using puzzle pieces and the great colors she added as accents for the page to match that cute photo.

The Creative Team has put together a few lifts of their own to give you some additional inspiration.

First up, Jheri-one of our Guest Creative Team Members from the past two months.  She created a beautiful blended background behind her photo but also included a couple of puzzle pieces to her design.

Rachael (myssp) created this terrific page about the trips she has made with her husband during their courtship and marriage.  She beautifully incorporated the puzzle pieces in her design including using them for her journaling.  Love how the wordart she chose even fits with the puzzle theme–about being better together.

I created a page to focus on one of my goals for the year–to keep track of my food intake better and make better choices.  I kept pretty close to Lori Ann’s design for my page–including color scheme.  It also occurred to me that trying to balance Weight Watchers points during the day is a bit like putting a puzzle together as well.

Katie has generously put together a freebie with a few puzzle pieces from from the Collageable Puzzle Pieces 02 but you can find other puzzle pieces here including Christmas ones if you still have some Christmas photos you would like to scrapbook for this challenge.

While the theme for this week is obviously puzzles, you can use any inspiration from Lori Ann’s page or any of the other layouts as a jumping point to create your lift.

As always, to get credit toward a coupon to use in the KPD store–please post your layouts for this challenge in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery and the January Challenge participation thread.

Anxious to see what you can come up with for this week’s lift.
