Saturday Scraplift: On the Edge

Shannon (shannonr) here to introduce you to this month’s first Saturday Scraplift Challenge. This week, we are lifting Carol (oldbag165). This is the page I chose. That capture of the egret is amazing! Her design to keep the photo large and use terrific edgers made this page stand out in the gallery.
The Creative Team has put together a few lifts of their own to help you get your creative juices flowing.
First up–Valerie (nana_vg). That photo at the beach is amazing and I love how she extended the photo out with the emphasis on her granddaughter in the smaller frame. Love the edger and the other little tropical details that she added to her page.

Products used: Big Bottom Lift Classic Photo Frames 01, Readymade Layers: Beach Clusters 18, Readymade Layers: Filmstrip Clusters 07, Stamp Sets Vol. 02 Beachy, Palette Textures Paper Pack 26 and Dreamy Paper Pack 03.
Sherry (digi371) created this layout featuring a deer. She chose a template with a smaller window mask for her photo and created two edgers over rustic paper to give just the right feel to go with her photo.

Products used: Photo Strips Painted Singles Layered Template 01, Readymade Layers: Painted Clusters 01, Readymade Layers: Filmstrip Layers 05, Deer Lodge Scrapbooking Mini Kit, Vintage Mini Mix Kit 07, Country Christmas Element Pack, Edge Overlays 05, Lens Flares: Colors 01, Blendable Ledgers 03, Vintage Blendable Palettes 09 and Bloese Solids Paper Pack.
Great minds think alike. I also chose to scrapbook deer photos for my lift. I stuck fairly closely to Carol’s design but added an additional photo of the deer. I had a hard time getting good photos because so much of the grass and foliage was obscuring his face so I did use AI to make his face more prominent.

Products used: Hand Scripted Stamp Pack 27, Readymade Layers: Christmas Edgers 02, Hanging Photo Frames 03, Pine Woods Scrapbooking Kit, Laurel Grove Blends and Page Blends 11.
As always to get credit toward a coupon to use in the KPD Store, post your layouts in both the Saturday Scraplift Gallery and the August Challenge Participation thread.
I hope you will join us in lifting Carol’s fabulous layout. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
