Saturday Scraplift: Make it Stand Out!

Hi all! It’s Amy L bringing you this week’s Saturday Scraplift. This week we’ll be lifting this very sweet page by Addie:

I love the series of expressive photos, the pretty brushwork in the background, and how the center photo is highlighted by the postage frame. So for this week’s lift, think of a way you want to highlight your special images. I was so happy to see how our Creative Team interpreted this challenge in such varied ways.

First up is Valerie, who told such an interesting story. It’s always inspiring to see a college student navigating their way in life, and I’m sure this young lady has a bright future ahead of her. Such an impressive skill to learn, and the photos make me feel like I’m right there! Valerie’s frame choice allows the eye to be drawn to the center photo just slightly before the adjacent ones; a really cool take on the inspiration.

Supplies Valerie used: Blendable Ephemera 01, DocuStack Layers 02, Hinged Photo Frames 12, Meriam Ridge Scrapbook Kit, Messy Sprays Brushes and Stamps 01, Palette Textures 02 Paper Pack, Urban Bookplates, Twisted Dots Stamp Pack 03, Lightly Linens Paper Pack 03.

Next is Rachel, who spotlights her gorgeous photo with serene botanicals, graphics, and framing. I like how the photo is offset a little, giving the subject room to look across the page! The colors are perfect for the ocean setting, and the typography is lovely too.

Supplies Rachel used: Artsy Layered Template 10, Krafty Garden Botanical Transfers 01, Krafty Garden Postage Stamps, Vintage Artistry Everyday Ephemera, Blendable Mix 01, Quoting Type Stamp Pack 05.

I knew right away when I saw Addie’s page that I wanted to highlight one of my recent favorite photos. Since school is out, I’ve had lots of time with this sweet girl lately. I thought Addie’s design lent itself to recording some of the cute things she’s come out with this summer. I know I’ll like looking back on this page to remember this special time with her.

Supplies I used: Bird Song Solids Paper Pack, Brilliant Life Scrapbooking Collection, Classic Postage Frames 01, DoodleDo Frames 12.

I hope you”ll find something to inspire you to create! Please post your pages in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge gallery. And add them to the August Challenge Participation thread. Enjoy your scrapping!
