Saturday Scraplift: Coloring Outside the Lines

Welcome to this week’s edition of Saturday Scraplift with Shannon (shannonr) and Happy Labor Day weekend to our friends in the U.S.  This week, we will be lifting Carolyn (Amson).  This layout really shined in the Gallery with the terrific extraction of the Wandering Tattler in front of the frame and the blurring of the photo in the background.

As always, the Creative Team has come up with additional inspiration for you with their interpretation of lifting this fabulous layout.

First up, Rache (rache77) who has just come off of her Guest Creative Team Member rotation.  I love that big photo of those beautiful mountains and the framing her son along with how she positioned her supporting closeup photos.  The chippy paper also adds texture to go with the rugged mountains.

Kathie (kathie02) also took her inspiration from the ocean.  Love this photo of the whales and seagulls.  The whale element really does appear to be “under the sea”.

I attended my nephew’s wedding recently and was inspired to create this page.  I decided to use wordart to “fade” the background and did an extraction of my nephew and his bride to sit in front of the wordart.  (Photo credit to JCanelas Photography for the big photo–all other photos are mine.)
