Saturday Scraplift: Branching Out

Happy New Year!  Shannon (shannonr) here to welcome you to the first Saturday Scraplift of 2026!  This week, we are lifting Lynn (lynns54).  I chose this beautiful layout she created with her photo of a red breasted nuthatch.  I love her subtle chippy background with the flourish and the branches coming in from the sides.

As usual, the Creative Team has put together some additional inspiration for you.

First up–Stacia.  Love the photo with those shadows paired with the dark green paper, paper clipped to the leaves and the stitching to ground the photo.

Addie (AddieG) made this page featuring her young cousin who loves wearing the hood on her sweater.  I love that Addie included multiple photos but also used the same branches that Lynn used in her LO.  The added sparkle for the season was also a nice touch.

I was pretty true to Lynn’s design but featured ferns because they are prominent in the foreground of my photo.  While I loved the more subtle background that Lynn used, I decided to use the Christmas Chippy Papers with the evergreens because the forest I was walking in when I saw the waterfalls has a lot of evergreens.
