Saturday Scraplift: A Moment in Time

Shannon here to bring you the Saturday Scraplift for this 4th of July holiday weekend. We have a beautiful layout by Rachel (rache77) for inspiration. I loved everything about this when I saw it in the gallery-the blending, the use of so many brushes and especially the clock face to pull it all together.
Our creative team has put together some layouts to give you additional inspiration. First up, Kathy (Blackkathy). Loved her take on lifting Rachel with a blended photo in the background and the interesting framing as well as the use of the clock and the floral accents on the edges. Love that clever title work too. So pretty that it makes me want to visit that neighborhood in Paris.
Products used: Clock Part Classics 01, Maybe Not Solids Paper, Defined Vintage French Clippings 01, Watery Blumes 35, Outlined Alpha 01, and Be Merry Element Pack.
Guest Creative Team member Lori Ann (lmaggs) did this layout of the Newport Bridge. I love taking bridge photos so this was right up my alley. Love the soft colors she used with her brushwork, the photo treatment and how she anchored the clock face with screws.
Products used: Ombre Essentials Paper Pack 02, Artsy Botanical:Cerrel Value Pack, Artsy Charcoal Layers 01, Twisted Dots 01, Clock Part Classics 01, Vintage Blendable Palettes 04, Pencil Line Twists 02, and Life Lines Element Pack.
I recently went back home and drove past the farm my great grandmother grew up on. Her great grandfather and grandfather homesteaded the farm in 1858. The old farmhouse had been replaced by the time I could remember visiting and there are a few more houses on the property now. Great Grandma’s niece (who I went to high school with-there was a 33 year age difference between her and her half brother in case you are wondering about the math there) owns the property now. We didn’t visit them very often so I don’t have as many personal memories of the place itself as I do with some of the other farms owned by family members but it warms my heart that this piece of land has been in the same family for more than 150 years. I loved using all the new (and some older) farm products to create this page of the barn that was built in 1902.
Products used: Vintage Farmhouse Garden Blendable Layers, Vintage Farmhouse Garden Solid Papers, Chicken Wire Clusters 01, Country Life Clusters 01, Blendable Layers 127, Ancestry Defined 01, Fading Photo Mask 01, and Clock Part Classics 01.
I hope that you can find something in Rachel’s layout or those of the creative team to inspire you to create a page of one of your “moments in time”. I can’t wait to see where this inspiration takes you. Be sure to post your layouts in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery and in the July Challenge Sign In Thread to earn points toward a discount coupon in the store. For our American digital scrapbooking family, I hope you have a fun and safe holiday weekend with family or friends.
