October Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone,

Sharon here – running very late, but here at last! I have a new sketch challenge for you this month, and some great inspiration from our Creative Team.

Our sketch has room for two photos, a wordart title and some journalling to tell your story.

First up today, we have this amazing page by Emma Leigh. She has used one of the Clipped Grid Photo Frames to replace the photo cluster which gives her space for her two spooky photos as well as some favourite lines from Emily. I love the way the reddish brown line in the background paper serves the same purpose as the twist in the sketch – drawing the eye down the page.

Next, we have this super sweet page from Jheri celebrating a mother and son day out at the soccer game. I love that she has made this a one photo page, with the photo cluster front and centre! She has added circular movement with brushwork, stitching and ribbon and that new chippy brickwork paper, coming to the store very soon, is so very cool!

Cori has created this very elegant page documenting a much treasured, little, old bible that belonged to her Grandmother. I really like the addition of the layered page foundations behind the photos in place of the circle element, and the classy border that pulls all those gentle colours together!

Lastly we have this lovely Easter page from Valerie. If my memory serves me well, most batches of holiday photos in our household when the children were small included one very similar to this!! I love that she has given the title more prominence and the way she’s moved the flair to anchor the bottom of the twist.

Would you like to have a go this month? Katie has made it easy for you with this amazing FREEBIE that includes all the small elements in the sketch. Of course we would also love to see you personalise the sketch in whatever way suits the story your page is telling! We look forward to seeing your layout in our Sketch Challenge Gallery along with our CT members will post their pages soon.

Don’t forget to add you 100% KPD product page to the October Challenge Participation Thread in the forums to earns shopping rewards at the end of the month!

Happy Scrapping!!
