Let’s Blend Scrapbook Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to this month’s Let’s Blend Challenge. This month, we are going to play with two of Katie’s very popular Spill Frame Layers. They are one of my favorite items in the store. Blending and framing all in one – my idea of heaven! They are perfect just as they are, but we are going to change them up to add a bit of interest. Here we go:

On my first page, I used a photo of an osprey getting a fish out of the lake. I chose this particular spill frame because of it’s watery look. To add a bit of pop to the splash, I added this adjustment layer: bevel and emboss, and clicked on the technique box and chose chisel hard. Then I played with the other sliders below it to make the water in the photo pop. There are different techniques under the bevel and emboss style, so you just have to play around with them to achieve the look you want.

This next page used a softer spill frame. The same adjustment layer was applied to the photo. The frame was then duplicated and I made the bottom frame a bit larger to create a stacked look. A coordinating paper was then clipped to the top frame.

Give this technique a try and when creating your pages, you can use all or some of the products Katie has generously  provided in the freebie pack. Remember to post them in the Mask Appeal Challenge Gallery and link up your page in the May Challenge Participation Thread for proper credit.

Have fun and I hope everyone is staying well.
