Let’s Blend Challenge – Layered Stacks

Well, I can’t believe it is June already, but here we are!
I am a big fan of any of Katie’s Layered Stacks, and we have worked with these in prior years. Because they are layered, you can use all or part of the stack, recolor the layers, add layers from different stacks, and tuck in elements of your that go with your photo.
For this page below, I used one of my moose photos from last summer and clipped it to a stamped block and blended it into the top layer of the stack. I also clipped a paper to that same layer and played around with blend modes of both the paper and the stamped block. You will see when you download the freebie, I inserted some different elements, and changed up the color scheme completely.
So, that is all there really is to the challenge. Feel free to add in different elements to the stack, and you can use a mask to blend in your photo or just clip it to the layer. I added a Partial Page Mask to the background to give it a bit of texture also.
Products Used: Stamped Blocks 35 Brushes and Stamps, Lakeside Solids Paper Pack, Lakeside Layered Frames 2, Instant Artsy Scribbles and Scratches, Partial Page Masks 12, Vintage Artistry Nature Study Ephemera Essentials, Vintage Artistry Blush Ephemera Stack Layers
I hope this example gives you a jump start on your creative process. I have linked the freebie above and please dont forget to post your layouts in the Let’s Blend Challenge Gallery, as well as the June 2025 Challenge Participation Thread to earn store rewards.
Happy Blending!
