Let’s Blend Challenge – ARTpack Botanicals

Hello and welcome to the April Let’s Blend Challenge. Here in Tucson, I think we have skipped spring and are moving toward summer. Keeping with the spring theme, I thought we would play with one of Katie’s ARTpack Botanicals Brushes, Stamps and Layered Files. One of the best things about these brushes is there is a layered format included and you can turn on and off the layers you want to use on your page. They can be recolored, resized, embossed and the opacity can be changed as well. I highly suggest using the layered format to take full advantage of what they can offer. My fellow CT members have created some beautiful examples for you to get started.

Penny (Pennyh) used the brush as an overlay to highlight her beautiful photo. By recoloring the botanical portion of the brush green, she highlighted it perfectly. Products used: Color Swatch Foundations Willow Paper Pack, Dreamy Paper Pack 04, ARTpack Botanicals Brushes, Stamps and Layered files

Melanie (britgirl) took the brush and made it look like it was almost connected to the page blend. Her photo is clipped to both the mask and the brush. By using the layered portion, she was able to duplicate the paint layer and then use it in the background. Products used: ARTpack Botanicals Brushes, Stamps and Layered files, Corby Elements and Solids, ARTpack lace No 1, Page blends No 1, ARTpack botanicals 4,

Jane (Jane_Bond) In addition to using the brush behind her photo, Jane took the floral part, painted it, and put it in the lower corner of her page. It perfectly coordinates with the cherry blossoms in her photo. So creative! Products used: Matte Black Vintage Frames 3,Artistry d’Amour Kit, Good Day Element Pack, Antibes Element Pack, Marlow Element Pack, Blendable LT 27- pieces, ARTpack Botanicals Brushes, Stamps and Layered files

For my page, I stayed simple and graphic. The photo is taken looking out the family room window up our driveway. I recolored a few of the layers in the brush, and added a bevel and emboss effect to the botanical portion. Here are the products I used: Classic Frame Layers No. 1, ARTpack Botanicals Brushes, Stamps and Layered files, Dreamy Paper Pack No. 1, Fine Line Border Lines No. 23

I hope you are inspired by these examples. Katie has provided a wonderful freebie to get your creative juices flowing. A big thank you to Penny, Melanie and Jane for helping me out this month.

Please don’t forget to post your layouts in the Let’s Blend Challenge Gallery, as well as the April 2025 Challenge Participation Thread to earn store rewards.

Happy Blending!
