Let’s Blend Challenge

Hello everyone! Joanne (jcaruth910) here with the first Let’s Blend Challenge of 2026.

We will be working with one of the “framed” Stamped Blocks. You can use the mask any way you like, clip a photo or paper to it, or use it as a background are just a few examples. The mask I have chosen is almost a two in one mask. Because it has a “frame” it can really highlight your photo, depending on how much you put inside of the framed part of the mask.

First up is Melanie (Britgirl). She chose a horizontal photo where the snowdrop fits right within the framed area of the mask. It is a perfect choice. She also used the other part of the freebie along with the mask to highlight the photo of her beautiful dog, Juno. Brilliantly done.   Mel’s products: Canvas color mix papers No 9, Postcard journalers No 2,  engraved paint cluster layers No 03, Stamped Blocks 30, Bound Notebook Blends

Carol, (oldbag165), flipped the mask, and then clipped her wonderful photo of a bald eagle to it. By duplicating the Bound Notebook Blends, she created a larger area that looks like a spiral page and placed it behind her photo. So creative.  Carol’s products: Cloudscapes 02,  Palette texture paper 12,  Stamped blocks 35,  Chippy Countryside Blends,  Field Guide tags 02,  Vintage artistry Naturalist Ephemera,  Chippy metal plates 01, Bound Notebook blends, Stamped blocks 30

We have had some really nice rain storms the past few weeks here in Tucson. I happened to see a rainbow outside my kitchen window, so I ran to the top of the driveway to grab a few photos. The rainbow fit right into the frame of the mask.  My products: Palette Textures No. 14, Overcome the Storm Stamp Pack, Bound Notebook Blends, Watchet Solids, Stamped Blocks 30

I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this month. Katie has once again provided a generous freebie for us to use as inspiration. As always, please don’t forget to post your layouts in the Let’s Blend Challenge Gallery, as well as the January 2026 Challenge Participation Thread to earn store rewards.

A big thank you to Mel and Carol for helping me out. Be sure to check out the Let’s Blend Challege Gallery for other inspirational pages from our talented Creative team.

Happy Blending!
