Let’s Blend Challenge

Hello and happy August! I have recently been to Rocky Mountain National Park to photograph the beautiful wildlife that reside there. I was inspired by the beauty of the forest and woods, and Katie’s Woodland Blendable Layers came to mind. They are so very versatile, and don’t necessarily have to be used in a woodland theme. By turning on and off some of the layers in the blendable, it’s easy to see where your photo might fit. Here are a couple of examples of how the Creative Team used it.
Shannon added the Blendable to portions of a few Blendable layered Templates and then clipped her photo to a mask behind the all the layers. It is a wonderful photo to add to the woodland theme. Here are the products she used: Woodlands Blendables 02 with Layers ,Palette Textures Paper Pack 08, Naturalist Blendable Layers 03, Hand Scripted Stamp Pack 27, Blendable Layers 118, Blendable Layers 62
Lynn clipped her photo of a big horn sheep to one of the painted masks in the blendable and it fits perfectly into the overall woodland theme. Here are the products she used: Deer Lodge Solids, Traveler Blendable Layers No2, Traveler Blendable Layers No 17, Vintage Seas 12X12 Blendable Layers 01, Woodlands Blendables No 2
I extracted a photo of an elk calf and put it in place of the deer in the blend, rearranged some of the layers and then added a painted look background. Here are the products I used: Color Swatch Foundations Willow Paper pack, Pencil Line Twists 1, Bar Code Word Strips: photos, Woodlands Blendable Layers
A big thank you to Shannon and Lynn for their wonderful layouts. Katie has given us a wonderful Freebie Pack, and as always, please don’t forget to post your layouts in the Let’s Blend Challenge Gallery, as well as the August Challenge Participation Thread, to earn store rewards.
I hope you can join in on this month’s challenge. I look forward to seeing your work in the Gallery.
