January Sketch Challenge

Good morning everyone,

Sharon here, with a brand new sketch challenge for the new year.

This sketch has room for three photos of varying sizes in a strong horizontal design. Katie has provided a FREEBIE that contains the ribbon, pin, brad and banner from the lovely Brielle kit.

Jan (jmgesi), one of our Guest CT members, used the sketch as the basis for this ‘oh so cute’ page about a generous girl and the gorgoeus gift she made a special someone. I love how Jan has used a paper remnant for the title “holder” and that she recoloured the elements in the Freebie to suit her photos.

As well as the freebie, she used:

Laurel Grove Solids
Laurel Grove Remnants 01
Laurel Grove Remnants 02
Laurel Grove Papers 02
Laurel Grove Essentials
Laurel Grove Blends
Palette Textures Paper Pack 07
Watery Photo Masks 24

Mel (britgirl) made us one of her fabulous pages by turning the sketch on its side which suits her photos better. I love these pages which tell an entire story with a few carefully chosen words and elements.

She used:

Monthly memories element pack 11
Curated team mix 20
Brielle kit
Corby Element Pack
Wooden arrows 3
Classified photo frames 2
Essential vellums 3
Kitlet mini kit No.01

I made a page about the ducklings that came to check out our picnic one evening in the park. I used vellum for my title “holder” but I think it would be fun to experiment with different ‘materials’ and ‘textures’ in this spot although we’ve included some vellum in the freebie for you to play with ;).

As well as the freebie contents, I used:

Classic Curled Frames 07

Brielle Solids Paper Pack

Brielle Scrapbooking Kit

Lakeside Painted Layers

I hope this sketch helps you to scrap some more memories for your albums and that we get to see your layout in the Sketch Challenge Gallery soon where you will find our pages shortly. Oh! Don’t forget to add your 100% KPD product page to the January Challenge Participation Thread in the forums to earn store rewards at the end of January!

Happy Scrapping!
