iTunes Challenge: May

Hi everyone, it’s Trace (tracermajig) here for another iTunes cover challenge!

We have had a lot of rainy weather in my part of the world of late so I was inspired to find an album cover that was light, bright and happy. I love how the falling flower petals on this album give movement and the beautiful cherry blossom stands out against the dark background. I was immediately inspired and I hope you are, too!

As always, Katie has provided a freebie to get you started, but it is not necessary to use it to participate in the challenge.

Merrilee (digigrandma) was inspired by the dark background and simple design. The spring theme of the album cover worked perfectly to showcase her blossoming tree. I love how this design makes the photo take centre stage and the floral clusters around the photo help to highlight it.

Kathy (Blackkathy) also created a central design for her page. The butterflies and florals create so much movement around her page and everything looks so cohesive even though she has used two different patterned papers. That beautiful photo really shines against the dark background paper!

I (tracermajig) also wanted to re-create that idea of movement across my page. I found these old photos of my kids having fun with bubbles and I went from there! I kept everything central and used that space to play with layers and colours.
