iTunes challenge: A rainbow of fun

Hi all, welcome to a new iTunes challenge. The year’s passing, and it’s time for one of my favourite TV events of the year – the Eurovision song contest. Each year the countries of Europe (and Australia!) get together, and it’s never dull, especially as the outfits and stage direction often outshine the songs.

In keeping with this theme of fun, I’ve chosen the album for the contest for this month’s cover. There’s plenty to be inspired by here. You could create a similar graphic circle to hold your photo or photos. Maybe you’ll work with geometric edges to your page. I also love the colours, with the dark background making the bright colours pop. Then there’s the Eurovision logo, with it’s incorporated heart. 

I asked the creative team to create pages, and I love the directions they took.

First up is Shannon (shannonroller), who created this lovely page. I love the watery brushwork here, so delicate, and the use of repeated circles with the frame and buttons.

Next up is Kelly (wsprite_ad). She found a template in the store which was a perfect starting point for her page! I love the spring colours and how she’s used one photo across the strips in the circle. The clever little details work here, like the changes in opacity on the photo, with the most vibrant area in the centre.
