Graphic Challenge May 2025: Drop a Note!

Hi everyone! Amy L here welcoming you to the Graphic Challenge, where we use a graphic as inspiration for a scrapbook page. For this month’s challenge, I chose a photo that I hope will inspire you!

If you like coffee as much as I do, you may want to make it your theme, but you certainly don’t have to! This image interests me with its strong central circle with its pretty florals, the dark background, the scattered notes, and the diagonal line made by the tulips in the lower right corner. Katie has kindly given us a challenge freebie HERE. You may use it if you wish but it’s not required. The Creative Team really stepped for this one, producing some lovely pages as you will see!

Addie chose the perfect topic for this challenge: an autumn stroll on a lovely college campus. The sweet smiling faces in the photos are set off by the gorgeous fall leaves. I like Addie’s use of a central circular photo surrounded by horizontal ones along with the pretty branches in the lower corner.

Supplies Addie used: Circle Frame Layers 01, Curated Branches 01, Curated Branches 02, Curated Branches 03, Watery Foliage Frames and Borders 01, ARToptions Neutrals Paper Pack 01, Vintage Artistry In the Leaves Sentiment Transfers,
Leaf Clusters 01.

Next is Merr who made such a touching page for Mother’s Day. It shows her two sons who play golf together, and Merr included the tulips they sent her for the occasion. This couldn’t be a more perfect interpretation of the inspiration piece! Merr surrounded the photo with heartfelt notes, putting everything on a dark background. So nicely done!

Supplies Merr used: Challenge Freebies, Floral Refresh Solids Paper Pack, Lemon Twist Solids Paper Pack, Black White Lime Kit, Curled Journal Spots 06, Memorable Spots 03, Heart Tag 01, Handscripted Love 09, Handscripted Stamp Pack 30.

Next is Valerie with this beautiful, colorful and FUN page. Aren’t these girls darling in their Derby hats! This reminds me of a British wedding I attended where we Americans wore fascinators; it was a blast! The circular photo surrounded by the additional shots makes for a lovely collection!

Supplies Valerie used: Layer Works 2238, Circle Frame Layers 01, Classic Curled Photo Frames 07, Vintage Blendable Layers 15, White on White Paper Pack 02.

Next is Rachael with this elegant pink page. I am blown away by the photos, and the way Rachael pinned some to the notes! And tucking in the oval frame in the middle makes for the perfect curved element. Wow, just gorgeous!

Supplies Rachael used: Cottage Fields Element Pack, Watercolor Page Titles Brushes and Stamps 02, Sticky Notes 01, Forever Fresh Solids Pack Indigo Garden 12×12 Blendable Layers 01, Hidden Creek Ephemera Plus Pack, Embrace Today Brushes and Stamps, Pinned Pearls 01, Laced Photo Frames Brushes and Stamps 01, Readymade Layers: Collage Clusters 07, Fine Stems Stamps 01, Notebook Edge Frames 05.

Finally, I made a page about my dogs which is nothing new, but I enjoyed the chance to give each one his spot in the design. I used the freebie flower to make a wreath for the middle, echoing the floral border on the coffee cup. I added a twist in the bottom right corner as a diagonal element.

Supplies I used: Challenge Freebie, Classic Curled Frames 07, Kaleidoscope Ephemera, Krafty Garden Solids Paper Pack, Meriam Ridge Element Pack, Spectrum Gardenia Ephemera Essentials, Spectrum Gardenia Ephemera Plus Pack, Spectrum Gardenia Sentiment Transfers 01, Spectrum Gardenia Sentiment Transfers 02, Spectrum Gardenia Transfers 06, Stamped Stitches 09, Twisted Dots 03, Vintage Artistry Naturalist Ephemera Plus Pack, Vintage Printable Papers 04.

I hope this month’s photo and these lovely team pages will inspire you to take part in this challenge! Don’t forget to check out the freebie linked above. Please post your pages in the Graphic Challenge Gallery as well as the May Challenge Participation Thread. Enjoy your scrapping!
