Graphic Challenge December 2025: Leading Lines

Hi everyone! Amy L here welcoming you to the Graphic Challenge, where we use a graphic as inspiration for a scrapbook page. Here’s this month’s inspiration:

photo: Tante.Tati @pixabay.com
The idea is to use lines on your page to lead the eye to your photo, your title, or anything you wish to highlight. You can use vertical lines, horizontal lines, converging lines, or curved lines. You can use borders, arrows, filmstrips, or banners! Or make your own lines.
There are lots of templates in the store to give you some ideas. Here are some I found:

Let’s have a look at how the Creative Team was inspired by this idea!
First is Shannon, who made a spiritual Christmas page highlighting meaningful verses. She used arrows to connect the text to the photo. The word art expresses the gladness and comfort of the season.

Supplies Shannon used: Instant Artsy: Arrows 01, Instant Artsy: Arrows 02, Framed Photo Masks 04, ARToptions Holiday Wishes Solids Paper Pack, Watercolor Page Titles Brushes and Stamps 15, Bold and Scripted Strips Brushes and Stamps 03, Title Lines Brushes and Stamps 14, ARToptions Holiday Wishes Transfers 01, Fine Line Titles 29, Have Hope Brushes and Stamps, Bold Sentiments 19.
Next is Candy, who made an absolutely stunning page. I love this elegant monochromatic scheme. The effect on the starburst is so cool, the stars at the top are perfect, and that photo!

Supplies Candy used: Candid Supplement Paper Pack, Lightly Linens Paper Pack 02, Starry Overlays 02, Painted Bursts Overlays 03, Santa’s Workspace Layered Template (star), Done with Doilies Layered Templates 02 (bits), Big Bottom Lift Classic Photo Frames 01, Seasons Finest Element Pack, ARTpack Lace Brushes and Stamps 02.
Kimberly‘s double page is amazing with the twisting text! What fabulous leading lines telling the story of their trip to Berlin. The arrow at the end of the loops points to them riding the bus, so fun!

Supplies Kimberly used: Torn Templates 02, Touring Flairs, Ticketed Dates 05A, Pencil Twist Arrows 01, Season Of Joy Solids Paper Pack, Wanderer Scrapbooking Bundle.
Finally, I made a simple page using a photo my son took of his wife and kids. They are having so much fun doing family activities this holiday season, and the photo captures their spirit so well. I also used curved text and arrows to highlight my photo.

Supplies I used: ARToptions Mini Mix 10, Classic Banners 01, Scrollie Arrows 02, Vintage Photo Frames 48.
